Coffee Latte Became Popular in Seattle
Coffee latte is prepared using one-third espresso and two-thirds steamed milk. Latte is easily recognized by its distinctive latte froth. Latte contains more milk than Cappucino; therefore it has a milkier, milder taste. Today there are many variations of the original coffee latte; flavored syrups like Mocha and Raspberry are combined with the latte to produce unique blends. They are served either Hot or Iced. Seattle’s Best is renowned for its blended ice latte, Creamice. Some coffee shops also, have latte blends that are combined with Asian teas. With today’s technology you can easily make your favorite coffee latte at home. There are espresso machines available online or at your local department stores everywhere. Brand names like Saeco Crema, Bosch, Krups, and Rowenta offer different model types and price ranges. Delonghi offers a frothing pitcher as a home accessory. Coffee latte contains a shot of espresso equaling between 1 and 1 1/2 oz., plus 10 oz. of steamed milk. then another 2 oz. of steamed milk in a separate glass until the milk foams. Coffee latte may have become popular in Seattle, but as with anything American when the consumer desires it we create it, coffee shops and cafes across the country have developed flavors and blends that they call their own and the consumers love it.
